A Joyful Spirit

Many people might wonder, "Why do we sing all the time, in every church service?" Well, when we take a look in the Psalms we will be asking ourselves the question, "Why should not we sing in every church service." Psalm 67 states twice, "Let all the people praise thee O God; let all the people praise thee." I doubt that the psalmist accidentally stated that exact plead to God twice. I think the psalmist was trying to catch his readers attention. God lets us praise Him! It is a privilege that he has given us. Singing and music admittedly is not the only way to praise our God, but it is a key aspect. A singing spirit is an outgrowth of a joyful spirit. As Christians, we are indwelt with the Holy Spirit, a fruit of this indwelling is a joyfulness. Galatians 5:22-23.
Joy also an a product of Gods endless blessings for us. He is always ready and waiting for us, whether we are ready for Him or not. He never gives up on us. We can always go to our God, tell him our hurt, our worry, our cares, and throw them unto him, and he will share the burdens with us. He truly is our deliverer and defender. Ps 5:11 states "But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee."
