Biblical Way of Handling a Problem

What is the Biblical way of handling an issue with a fellow believer? Well, the Bible is very clear on how an individual who has been offended should address and resolve the problem. When you as a Christian are offended by a brother go to him, and seek to resolve the problem. "Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone" We as Christians need to be seeking unity amongst each other. Pastor Jerry Clark states "We need to strive to get along with fellow Christians even if the only thing we have in common is our faith in Christ." When somebody offends us, we need to look at it as a chance to grow in wisdom. If we seek a resolve instead of conflict, we will grow in Christ.
Churches have been split because of this issue. People in the local church get offended and instead of going to the offender and seeking to solve the problem, they go to their close friends in the church, and spread the offense, sometimes adding twists or complete falsities to the story to try to gain some type of alliance. Pretty soon, the whole church is at odds with itself. This is not the unity that is talked about in Ephesians. Paul addresses the fact that the church is a body, and Christ is the head of that body. How can this body function if parts of it is literally at war with other parts of that same body?
Sometimes in the local church and in life in general, Christians get offended with one another. What we need to realize is that the reason we are here goes far beyond our little self. If we truly put Christ first, and humble ourselves before Him, we will seek to resolve issues as quickly as possible. We are here to serve, praise, and spread the name of Christ, not to get offended at one another and split the Lords churches.
Eph 5:23 "For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body."

A Joyful Spirit

Many people might wonder, "Why do we sing all the time, in every church service?" Well, when we take a look in the Psalms we will be asking ourselves the question, "Why should not we sing in every church service." Psalm 67 states twice, "Let all the people praise thee O God; let all the people praise thee." I doubt that the psalmist accidentally stated that exact plead to God twice. I think the psalmist was trying to catch his readers attention. God lets us praise Him! It is a privilege that he has given us. Singing and music admittedly is not the only way to praise our God, but it is a key aspect. A singing spirit is an outgrowth of a joyful spirit. As Christians, we are indwelt with the Holy Spirit, a fruit of this indwelling is a joyfulness. Galatians 5:22-23.
Joy also an a product of Gods endless blessings for us. He is always ready and waiting for us, whether we are ready for Him or not. He never gives up on us. We can always go to our God, tell him our hurt, our worry, our cares, and throw them unto him, and he will share the burdens with us. He truly is our deliverer and defender. Ps 5:11 states "But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee."

So Walk Ye in Him!

“As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him.” There are many Psalms which speak of Christians walking in integrity. To be Christ like, and grounded and settled is the goal of the Christian. One of the biggest questions I ask myself is “If Christians do not do what is right, who is going to?” The unsaved person has no pull, or reason to do what is right. Christians should be the one at the workplace that is looked at and said, “Wow, that guy is a hard worker, there is something different about him.” People should know who the Christians are just by seeing the way they do things walking in integrity, honest, joyfulness… the list could go on and but to shorten it up, “to be CHRIST LIKE.” One of my favorite verses is Titus 3:8 which states, “This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.” I need to be a Christian that will draw the unsaved to Christ, by having a good testimony and being the one where people can see Christ through me and desire to find out about Christ. The only way I can do this is by being grounded and settled in the sight of the Lord, which was exactly Paul’s prayer for the church in Colosse.
